I know first hand that in government, as is in the private sector, new eyes, new determinations, new ideas and new technologies are best suited to advancing the community, especially when the mantle of leadership is changed. | |||

| I support the ideals and mission of our law enforcement professionals. Their job is hard enough and I won't make it more difficult by adding on unenforceable laws or new responsibilities without the required resources. In my experience, added duties without resources leads to poor work quality, frustration, and worse, a new "standard of performance". I'll let law enforcement tell me what THEY need. Not the other way around. If we are talking about apprehension and change of custody to federal authorities, then I support enforcement with added training and resources. | |||

If new energy efficiencies are developed, it should be from a public-private sector partnership that benefits both parties and also the consumers. | |||
